At Spansion, we believe in helping our community.

Spansion Penang has received an award from the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) for its strong community support in developing the school's career advisory services, its enthusiastic participation in the university's career fair, and for its efforts as a member of the board of studies on the University Malaysia Perlis. Spansion has been actively involved in the board-sponsored program Photonic Engineering.

UniMAP's Vice Chancellor Col. Prof. Dato and Dr. Kamarudin Hussin presented the award to Spansion; also present at the event were the Prince of Perlis and the chief secretariat of Higher Education Malaysia.

In a speech given at the awards ceremony, Hussin said, “Excellence is not an easy execution without much initiative and sacrifice. I would like to convey my gratitude toward all parties who contribute toward the success of this university.”
